In 2005, Kate won the Chaguo La Teeniez Award for Best Female Artist, marking the beginning of a successful career in the music industry. Over the years, she has built a strong reputation for delivering engaging and emotionally driven live performances.

Her music reflects a unique blend of traditional Kisii influences and modern pop and R&B. She is known for songs such as Inchwo, Nyayiare, and Gakeigo, which showcase both her songwriting and vocal versatility. Beyond her original work, Kate performs across multiple genres including R&B, soul, jazz, and pop.

Since relocating to The Netherlands in 2018, Kate has continued to perform at a wide range of venues and events, including restaurants, lounges, cafés, pubs, weddings, and corporate functions. She has appeared at W Lounge Amsterdam (W Hotels), Orpheus Apeldoorn, Fashion High Tea events, Café 1813, Gigant Apeldoorn, Sound & Soul Arnhem, and Het Stadscafé Apeldoorn. In addition, she spent five years performing as part of a professional cover band across major hotel venues.
